#5 of 31 Snow Day: Chloe Style
I hope she hurries up. I really, really, really have to go to the bathroom. I wish Dad wouldn't have been in such a rush last night. I really, really, really should have gone then, but the snow was so fun to play in. And my hill's getting bigger. I love that.
Oh, here she comes. Yippee. Peeeeeeeee. I really gotta go outside.
Why is she coming outside with me? Geez, Mom. Can't a girl get any privacy? Oh, well. Might as well go back in with her and get a treat. Sure wish she'd give me one of those cookies she has with her coffee. They smell amazing.
Yep. She gets a cookie and I get a dog biscuit. SO not fair.
Mmmmmm. Bacon. Not so bad....
Coffee going. I better go get my spot on the couch and take a little nap while she showers. Then I'll get some hugs in. She never wants to cuddle until after her shower and a cup of coffee.
Wait. She's not taking a shower. She turned on that stupid computer though. Why didn't I remember to hide that thing?
Another cup of coffee? She's getting her book out?
WHAT'S GOING ON HERE? IS SHE STAYING HOME? WILL WE PLAY????????
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! I think she's staying home. Must be because of the snow!
Yippee! Yippee! Yippee!
SNOW DAY!

Snow days, ahhh! The day stretches before you and you blink and it's gone. Hope the power stays on and you stay snuggled in.
ReplyDeleteHave a fun day with mom, Chloe. Do you think you will get a second day?
We could be late tomorrow, but I think we'll go. That's good. Today is our 6th snow day and they all get added to the end of the year.
DeleteYippy Chloe! A snow day with your momma! What fun!
ReplyDeleteWow - your 6th snow day? Today is our first and when I woke up this morning, there was not one snowflake falling. #epicsnowfail! Oh, well. Time to scratch some things off my to do list at home!
Enjoy!
Glad someone is happy about the snow day... and did you say 6!!! Yikes and I'm complaining about just 1...well enjoy the day with Chloe . . . if she would ever get off the darn computer! :-)
ReplyDeleteSo cute. My dog is feeling the same, laying her head on my leg as I try to type.
ReplyDeleteI should take a picture of Chloe as she lays her head in my lap while I type. She's quite pathetic
DeleteLucky Chloe...
ReplyDeleteLucky Deb. :)
I hope you've enjoyed the snow day together!
ReplyDeleteChloe, I hope Mom didn't stay on the computer too long today and that you got to play in the snow.
ReplyDeleteDear Chloe, can't believe you can type! Your story is fun to read. We really like your picture. We think you should get cookies.
ReplyDeleteLove,
The Ayres' Kids
I think I should get cookies too. You should smell the peanut butter and chocolate one she makes at Christmas.
DeleteHa Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! Chloe, I think I should see you in the World Record Book because you type well. If you come visit me, I'll give you chocolate chip cookies. The dough is really good too!
DeleteLove,
Sam
Will you really????? Cuz chocolate is one of my favorite things. I would LOVE that.
DeleteThe world record book, huh? Don't other dogs type and blog?
I think you should get cookies too. It's awesome that you are such a storyteller...your mom must talk to you a lot :).
ReplyDeleteI think it'd be a travesty to NOT have a second cup of coffee before the shower on a snow day. Glad you and Chloe had a nice cozy, cuddly morning.
ReplyDeleteChloe, you are lucky to have a mom that gets to stay home on a snow day! Hope you got your cookies and your playtime.
ReplyDeleteI was excited when you said that Chloe wrote today, and she didn't disappoint! The line in all caps was my favorite. (I bet dogs mostly think in all caps, from the way their tails wag and they pant so enthusiastically!)
ReplyDeleteMake sure Chloe clears the driveway and sidewalks. Wouldn't want you to fall on the snow!
ReplyDeleteChloe, you reminded me of one of my favorite characters in The Knife of Never Letting Go. Your mom should really write a book starring you! Happy snow day! Roo and Aurora say hello.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I have The Knife of Never Letting Go in my room. I'll have to check it out
DeleteDear Chloe,
ReplyDeleteI love it, too, when my mom stays home with me. It is much more interesting than the days when she leaves and I have to spend the day looking out the front window and waiting for her car. I don't really like snow days though, because it is usually really windy and my mom doesn't take me for very long walks. And I hate that computer too! Somedays, my mom gets so involved she totally forgets about me and I have to bark or paw at her leg to get her attention. Especially during this Slice thing! Who invented that anyway!
Love, Star
Chloe's perspective always brings a smile on my face.
