Snow Day Possibilities
Up and Moving at the
Usual 6:00 AM starting time
It's dark,
quiet,
The perfect
MOMENT
to begin the day.
Make coffee
Make a list
Write
Read
Nap
Repeat
Enjoy another cup of coffee
Snuggle into my blanket
and
Enjoy the possibilities
Perfect Deb: Just be Happy and Have FUN!! A great message to read every morning at 6AM!!!!!! Sadly I was up much earlier today. I needed to know what happened in Iowa. Politics has me in its grip now until new November :)

Politics has me too. I find I become addicted to the news channels
DeleteSounds heavenly. I long for a Snow Day.
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely...
DeleteSnow day contentment! I love the Repeat. Enjoy your day and maybe another?
ReplyDelete2 hours late tomorrow, Elsie. And we're supposed to stay tuned for updates.
DeleteCute cup :)

Nice - the way it is snowing here we may be in for on tomorrow. We have gone from grey skies to all white in just a few hours. Great little poem.
ReplyDeleteI had an early appointment at school today of all days! Therefore, I liked this snow day, too, Deb. Glad you can enjoy it. I love your cup, the way it should always be.
ReplyDeleteI found my cup this past summer at a Cabin Coffee. I just love it. My favorite "I have time this morning" cup.
DeleteHow lovely that your possibilities on a snow day do not include work. It took me a long time to recognize that a snow day could be a beautiful gift of rejuvenation. Hope you enjoyed many "repeat" cycles! Glad you are sharing on #SOL16 and #EDtime2wrt!
ReplyDelete#Edtime2wrt came at the right moment for me. I needed to start writing again...
DeleteWe are having a snow day today too. It's our second one this year, which is really unusual for us. It's been a really nice day filled with coffee and reading and blogging and a little laundry. I love these occasional respites from the routine.
ReplyDeleteIt's just lovely, isn't it :)
DeleteFeeling quite envious of your snow day and the tranquil, rejuvenating day you described. Time to "Enjoy the possibilities"--always a luxury!

ReplyDeleteIt was definitely a day to relax and rejuvenate. I'm so glad I work hard on Sunday and Monday and got most of my grading done!
DeleteWe haven't had a snow day yet, but I am living vicariously through yours, Deb!

ReplyDeleteWe haven't really had much this year. Not like in the past anyway. But this blizzard is bad. No travel advised through north Iowa and southern Minnesota. 2 hours late tomorrow...so far.
DeleteHmm, so did you get up at the same time knowing that school was canceled, or were you already up & moving when you found out? Either way, you're better than me -- it's right back to bed for me on a snow day! (Of course, I'm not sure we'll ever get one this year!)
ReplyDeleteI knew Monday night. I just can't sleep in. My body wakes up and i just have to get moving.
