The things that bring the imagination out in kids...
Holding a seashell up to his ear, Tony first told me he couldn't hear the ocean.
"Listen more carefully," I said.
"Oh, Grandma, I can hear the ocean.
And I can hear the boat coming in,
And I can hear my mom!"
I don't know what she was saying, but it was pretty powerful.
