Just for today
I will play
Hooky
From school.
With 25 students
We will
Watch
2 of our own,
Plus 900 others,
Be recognized for
Excellence.
Amazed and Astonished,
I will sit and listen and
Watch
As young men and women
Prove
That practice and determination
Brings rewards,
But mostly
They bring
Self-Satisfaction and Pride.
