Chloe Writes...

Dear Little Sparrow,

I thought you wanted to
PLAY
When you came in and
FLEW
around on our screened in deck.

I was so excited that
SOMEONE NEW
Came to play.
Someone to
BARK
at and someone to play
CHASE
with.

It was
FUN
for awhile.
I didn't know
I wasn't supposed to
CATCH YOU.

  3. I read this to Noah, our cat. He disagrees.
He says you shouldn't feel sorry, and can he have it now.

  4. I'm glad the squirrel is visiting you. He wouldn't stand a chance if he were in my yard. Puck and Snug would tag team him. Doomed is the squirrel that falls off the fence into our yard.

  9. Chloe you are a good dog. You simply did what dogs are supposed to do! And you are quite an author. This reminds me of "This is Just to Say" by William Carlos Williams. Have you read that? I love your poem!

  10. Oh no! Hehe. Such a cute slice, Chloe! I especially liked the way you emphasized certain words in all caps so we could feel your excitement!

  11. Mom ruins our fun by yelling, "Run birds, run!" before we are released into our yard. You are so lucky! (the sparrow, not so much)
