I was going to write about...

SPRING

My TULIPS and HYACINTHS peeking out of the ground

The GRASS turning green

The SUN feels warm on the skin.

My LAKE box is filling up with all the necessities.

BUT

Mother Nature had other ideas.

10 inches of snow fell Sunday night into Monday morning

10 INCHES

This was the most snow we had at one time all winter! So, of course, we had a

Snow Day

But snow days can be blessings in disguise. I planned a few lessons, worked on my grad class, cleaned a bit and took a nap.

Spring is still coming, it's just taking its own sweet time getting here!

  1. Oh, my! Ten inches!! Not so drastic here, but I drove home from school today (into Spring Break!) with snowflakes and light hail falling, and the temp falling below freezing again, too. But we have 70 degree days coming up in the forecast.

  2. Holy Moly! I totally complained about the 5 inches we got today! I retract that statement! I really enjoyed reading your slice. Way to put a positive spin on such a dreary Monday! Spring is just around the corner...I hope!

  3. Yikes! That's a lot of snow, glad it didn't enter my world and stayed north. Soon you will be writing about the tulips and the hyacinths. Glad you got some work ready.

  4. Wow - I won't complain about our 5 inches of snow here. But really? It was quite the surprise to see spring pushed aside. You took full advantage of this extra day!

  5. WOW! What a shock. I was sad it was going to get back down in the 50s this week. I'll stop now. ha ha.

  6. Hubby and I wondered why we decided to travel to IL this week. Snow! and then to look at the forecast in AR - 75 and sunny.

  7. The winter has issues of letting go. Our sunny warm days turned cold too, but fortunately without the snow.
